Sep 21, Alan D. I quite enjoyed the Rants — streams of consciousness and incensed anger — but it is the short, snappy, hard-hitting ‘modern’ poems like I Didn’t Mean You and Didn’t that are easily her best. Plus I was a little curious about her poetry since I oyur already read The Asylum book and wanted to see what I’d find in this work.
Aug 27, Holly Wakefield rated it did not like it. Everything feels false with her, robotic almost, there is never any emotion and I guess it doesn’t help that the author is a severely dishonest individual.

And of course, poetry is so subjective, what I think is immature and cheesy might be what someone untoucjed finds beautiful, and vice versa. It was interesting reading her poems about love and its affects in her life. I honestly can’t say I really liked the book as a whole, but I did love some of the poems within.

Overall I recommend reading this if you like Medival poetry since there is a lot of fairytale related poems in here which are very good. Many people like British culture but they don’t insult us umtouched their sycophant wanting to be us. Did I mention it also took me two days to listen? The ones about regret were the strongest in my opinion. Goodbye is my favorite.
So many lies about dates of releases, events in her life and stupid things like saying she emilue burgled so shipping out releases was delayed and then there’s the audio book fiasco. Would recommend to Autumn fans definitely, and casual fans of gothic arts and poetry. An interesting issue, a dark and colorful voice, nice music, but which often distracts from Emilie’s voice. Most of them were also very simple or just plain bad and it was annoying how Emilie constantly used ”thy” and ”thou”.
Her obsession with wanting to be British is also cringe worthy. Having the audio along with the ebook was a fun experience since there is some music present while Emilie reads her work which is great and mixes it up and creates new dynamics to it.
Most are about adolescent love, the loss of innocence, rejection and heartache — all a bit predic I confess that I am not really a fan of poetry and would not have picked this up were I not an avid Emilie Autumn fan.
They were weak and boring a lot of times–But she was a teenager when she put these words on paper so I have never read it without audio, so it takes a while to get through it, but I love the peaceful time. I think this is a sugae must for all EA fans, and for poetry enthusiasts.
Untluched the first to ask a question about Your Sugar Sits Untouched. Oh chocolate, thy shalt save the world in times of need and desperation, when thy force thyself to spend the night listening to poetry that may be of use if thy have to set up a tragical play with only 10 euros. With her Victorian atuumn stage show and signature heart painted on her cheek a unifying symbol devotedly replicated by her international fan base known as “Plague Rats”Emilie fast became a sensation throughout Europe and the United Kingdom before touring in America, South America, North America, and Russia.
Out of all the books by the author this was my favorite. Since its fully-illustrated first edition hardcover release inThe Asylum Untouche lot of these poems were written in the Enchant -era of Emilie’s career where she was heavily inspired by Shakespeare, Elizabethans and medieval faerietales.
Her natural speaking voice would have been fine and would have felt more personal. Also the strong American accent doesn’t work well reading poetry in a fake British accent.
I’m glad I stumbled in it somewhere in the internet. I’ve now read her book and listened to the poems of this record and am equally bored of both. Close for example contained the disturbingly telling line, “You make me feel worthy of pinching”.
Youe have been poets untouuched who have written masterpieces. I think when taking into account she was 24 it’s no secret that she was born in when she published the first paperback I would have preferred to have just read it because I could have ignored the aggravating voice and accept she was just in her twenties. This is a usgar of heartfelt teatime poems made by Emilie Autumn.
Makes a whole lot of sense now. The fact that Emilie wrote it when she was a teenager made me appreciate it more. Open Preview See a Problem? There are no discussion topics on this book yet.

Is this important, not really, but to me it is. The lines can get choppier than they probably need to emjlie, but that is my biggest complaint from the more modern poetry. I feel bad only marking this two stars, because I’m a big fan of Emilie Autumn. Apr 15, Emm – Stories for Ghouls rated it really liked it Recommends it for:
