I once heard someone hypothesize that stars are celestialized worlds.
Again, I’m not saying it’s doctrine, but this book is the closest thing to “right” I’ve read. Before my granddad died, he told me about this book.
We do not have enough understanding of the universe, tueorem of our own doctrine to begin to make direct connections. I can’t bring myself to make the jump from what scriptures tell us, to “God’s thsorem is at the center of the milky way galaxy”. My main fear, as agreed with quantumleap, is that many members may take such “theories” to be actual doctrine before studying things out in the mind and also by the Spirit, and base their beliefs upon evidences that may prove faulty, and also which are not required in our belief to be exalted. I would also note that The Kolob Theoremin suggesting that God somehow resides within the Milky Way galaxy and that other galaxies are not God’s creation, directly contradicts LDS theology, including Elder Scott’s recent and excellent General Conference talk of last November, wherein he said: I see no reason to conclude that you can take a map of the Milky Way and map out the Celestial, Terrestrial, and Telestial areas.
Kklob the map may have been useful to teach certain religious doctrines, it is not very accurate when compared to an actual map of the world.
