The vacuum-breathing creatures use their projection and hyperspace abilities to fool the Imperial Navy, which fires on its allied ships. He teaches Lando to fly the ship and to appreciate the value of pacifism, he gives him an opportunity to expound his moral compass, he drives the plot along with his built-in set of enemies, and he’s a deus ex machina for every skill Lando ever needs and any scrape he ever gets in.
I hope it is a landp better than this largely dull and disjointed offering. During the sabacc game, Lando is distracted by the apparent sabotage of his ship, and is assaulted. So, while on Dilonexa XXIII after a failed delivery, he jumped at the chance when he received an invitation from Lob DoluffAdministrator Calfissian of the Oseon systemto play sabacc in the credit rich asteroid belt.
Smith should have established a baseline for Lando, a standard lifestyle that calrissia moral exigencies of ESB would later jerk him out of.
But Lando isn’t a classic hero! The story is kind of average I want to say, while it was fun seeing lf younger version of Lnado the other characters aren;t really fleshed out.

The Lando Calrissian Adventures. He’s not a cargo hauler, or a smuggler, but he spends a lot of the series trying to make money carrying fancy goods. An explosion rocked the underside of the starshipand it was discovered that a bomb was placed there on their previous stop on Dilonexa. This novel has very little to do with the Star Wars universe. Smith plays him more like a strong, silent type, which is a total breach of character. The baddy isn’t all that interesting and not much of a plot, but mostly just a little novella of a Star Wars adventure where you get to know one of our favorite smugglers and rascals a bit better. I had the impression throughout that he was an Imperial, and that the Emperor was the one sponsoring his operations and for whose position Gepta was vying.

Unfortunately, though, somewhere dalrissian t This second book starts off rather promising: It doesn’t help that he’s a Snidely Whiplash sort of character, all but twisting his mustache as he laughs maniacally. If you;re some sort of completest, yeah you’ll probably want this. Based on the title you can probably guess that this is based on Lando.

If I’m going to rate this barely above kissing my sister, I must justify it. He goes back to the Sabacc tables and tries his luck once again. The books don’t even feel much like Star Wars, since there’s no mention of much to connect us to the movies. Everywhere you went, I saw to it that the prices were a little higher, the rates you could resell at were a little lower! But I’d be giving this book more words than it deserves.
Apparently, the vengeance of Rokur Gepta knew no bounds. Thinking about how I spent a week reading this when I could have read something better. Fortunately, he is invited to a sabacc game on Oseon celebrating an event called Flamewind, but is followed by Rokur Gepta.
But while we nominally start off with Lando doing his actual thing gambling and he occasionally returns to the sabacc table throughout the adventures, the central narrative is totally foreign to Lando.
